Privacy Policy
Effective October 10, 2026
Pombers is a mobile game made by Cabral Inc. (“Cabral”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains what the Pombers app and pombers.com collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. If you have a question, write to support@pombers.com.
In short: we collect what it takes to run the game — your account, your player name, friends, points and the taps of your counted games — and nothing you type, because there’s no chat. We don’t sell your information. Ads are shown by Google AdMob unless you buy Ad‑free, and Google only uses your device’s advertising identifier if you allow tracking when iOS asks. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
1. What we collect
Playing without an account (Quick play)
Practice games are played on your phone. We don’t create an account for you and don’t receive your games. Ads, if shown, work as described under “Ads” below.
When you sign in with Apple
- Account. Apple gives us an identifier for your Apple Account and an email address — a private relay address if you chose “Hide My Email”. We don’t receive your name.
- Profile. The player name we assign you (an adjective, “Pomber” and a number tag — you can change the adjective, but you never type a name), your points, and when you were last active, which your friends see as “online”.
- Friends. The players you add, the invitations you send and receive, and the challenges between you.
- Games. For each counted game — the daily challenge, ranked matches and matches against friends — which hole you tapped and when, the result, and measurements of how the game was played (such as reaction times). We use these to check every result and keep the leaderboard fair.
- Connection diagnostics. When a live match has trouble connecting, the app sends a short technical log of the attempt (timings and error messages, never passwords or tokens). These are deleted after 14 days.
- Notifications. If you allow notifications, a push token for your device, so we can tell you about friend invites and challenges.
Ads
Unless you’ve bought Ad‑free, Pombers shows ads through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device’s IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Google uses your device’s advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when iOS asks; if you don’t, ads are still shown, without it. If you’re in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through Google’s consent message first, and you can change your choices at any time in the app under Account → Privacy Choices. Learn how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Purchases
Ad‑free is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your payment details. The app keeps a note on your phone that you own Ad‑free, so it works offline too.
On your phone
The app keeps a few things on your device: your sign-in session, settings such as whether you’ve seen the tutorial and your practice difficulty, counted games still waiting to be sent, and your Ad‑free status.
What we don’t collect
Your contacts, phone number, precise location, photos, camera or microphone — or anything you type, because Pombers has no chat.

The website uses no cookies and no analytics. Our host, GitHub Pages, may record visitors’ IP addresses for security.
2. How we use it
- To run the game: your account, matchmaking, friends, the leaderboard and points.
- To keep play fair: the server replays every counted game and looks for automated or modified play. A game that doesn’t look like a person played it may earn no points, and an account with several may be left out of the leaderboard.
- To find and fix problems and keep Pombers secure.
- To send the notifications you’ve allowed.
- To show ads, unless you’ve bought Ad‑free.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t build advertising profiles ourselves.
3. Who we share it with
Service providers that run parts of Pombers for us, only to provide their service:
- Supabase — our database, sign-in and live match connections.
- Expo — app updates and delivery of push notifications.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, notifications and purchases.
- Google — AdMob advertising, as described above.
Other players see your player name, points and rank on the leaderboard. Your friends also see whether you’re online and your head-to-head record. Opponents in ranked matches don’t see your name.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect players, Pombers or our rights, or to a successor if Cabral Inc. is involved in a merger or acquisition — in which case this policy keeps applying to your information.
4. How long we keep it
We keep your account information until you delete your account. Connection diagnostics are deleted after 14 days. When you delete your account in the app (Account → Delete Account), your profile, points, friends and games are deleted. Copies may stay in backups for a limited time before they’re overwritten.
5. Your choices and rights
- Tracking: allow or deny it when iOS asks, and change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Notifications: turn them on or off in iOS Settings.
- Ads: buy Ad‑free to remove them. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, change your consent choices under Account → Privacy Choices.
- Your information: ask us for a copy, to correct it, or to delete it — or delete your account yourself in the app.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland we rely on these legal bases: running the service you asked for (your account and games), our legitimate interests (fair play, security and fixing problems), and your consent (personalized ads and notifications), which you can withdraw at any time. You may also complain to your data protection authority. In California and other US states, you have the right to know, correct and delete your personal information and not to be treated differently for using these rights. Ads that use your advertising identifier may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under some state laws; you can stop it at any time by not allowing tracking in iOS or by buying Ad‑free.
To use any of these rights, email support@pombers.com from the email of your Apple Account, or include your player tag. We’ll answer within 30 days.
6. Children
Pombers isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child under 13 has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
7. Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, and the app can reach only its own player’s information through a small set of checked functions. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will tell you if a breach affects you, as the law requires.
8. Where it’s processed
Cabral Inc. is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate, with safeguards required by law.
9. Changes
We’ll post any change to this policy here with a new effective date, and tell you in the app if a change is significant.
